Time

I bet many times you wish it would slow down a little, but it just seems to keep going by faster and faster the older we get.  Where months seem like weeks and weeks seem like days.  Even when you retire it seems speed up even faster.   We keep finding things to do and keep adding to the list.  Maybe the mind is in its own time warp outside of the norm.  Well, time doesn’t speed up or does it?

Actually if you look at the Time and Space Continuum Theory, which became a big deal for Einstein, time can speed up or slow down depending on where something is in relation to a gravitational force.

So, is it possible that as we age our minds grow increasingly more sensitive to  earths gravitational force as well as the moons?  Since the moon causes the rise and fall of ocean tides could it be that since the human body is mostly water it will affect our time and space continuum?  Allowing our sense of time to speed up?

We know for a fact that the moon affects the human brain.  When there is a full moon things get a little crazy.  Just ask the police and those in the medical profession.  So, if the mind is affected in that way, is it possible for both sources of gravity to alter our sense of time by speeding it up?

Why did I write about this today?  Mainly, because my neighbor keeps reminding me of it and the fact I’m getting old.  I keep telling him I do not need to be reminded.  I not only know it I feel it.

Of course, the bottom line is this.  Christians should talk about science and not ignore it because God created science (everything).  You look at science and you see God.  I do anyway.  He put everything together in such a fine tuned creation that we’re still trying to figure it out.  We will never completely understand it no matter how hard we try.   However, I truly believe that in the end we will all find out for sure.  Who was right and who was wrong, how this or that works, etc.  I certainly do have a lot of questions.  Thanks to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, He does allow me to see a few things that aren’t to complicated.  He just lets me know about things when the time is right.

As a born again, Spirit filled believer I love science.  It helps me to try and understand God’s creation.  Learning how everything is in sync and how everything is connected.  Yes, everything is connected.  I found that out because of asking Jesus in prayer a few years ago.  I had this urge in my spirit to just pray for Jesus to show me things that He wanted me to know about.  Praying that it comes directly from Him and rebuking the devil and all his demons in His name so as not to be deceived.  All I can say was Wow!  I didn’t think I was ready for some of these things He showed me, but Jesus thought I was.  Talk about exciting.  Ok, I must admit a little scary at times, but exciting.

This has nothing to do with the gift of prophecy.  Its just about things I never knew about that already exist.  Makes for an interesting time.

In the mean time take care of yourself, pray and always ask WWJD (What would Jesus do)?

Did It Happen To You?

Every Sunday we get a little message about giving before the offering is taken.  Do you get tired of hearing it?  Ever feel like a guilt trip is being laid upon you?  Please don’t think that way.  When I got to thinking about I believe that little message before the offering is for the benefit of visitors and new members in your church.  If you’re a regular keep that in mind and don’t let it bother you.

There are 3 ways to give according to scripture.  They are Tithing your 10%, Offerings and Alms.   Alms is giving to the poor.  However, some of us don’t make enough or you may not have a source of income at the time.   That’s OK.  Give what you can because God completely understands so don’t feel guilty about it.

When I do give I notice that later some blessing from God happens.  Now a blessing doesn’t necessarily mean a monetary one.  It can come in the way of someone giving you food, clothing or God blessing you in other ways.  It might be with a physical or emotional healing that will give you peace of mind to make it through the day.  It could also mean God giving you His divine peace  to help you fall asleep night.  On the other hand it could also mean God giving you a revelation or a vision or an answer to a question you asked Him about.

So, did it happen to you?

Wear The Good News Of Jesus

I just happened to stumble across a card in my desk drawer with the above title.  This is what the card says:

Knot:  Represents when you were born.  John 3:6

Black:  Represents spiritual darkness because of our sin.  Rom. 3:23

Red:  Represents the Blood Jesus shed to pay the penalty for our sins.  Rom. 5: 8-9

White:  Represents the cleansing and forgiveness we receive in trusting Christ. 1 John 1:7

Blue:  Represents or public profession of Christ through Baptism.  Rom. 6: 3-4

Green:  Represents our spiritual growth when we pray, worship, read the Bible, etc.  Eph.  4:15

Yellow:  Represents the glory of Heaven with Christ.  Phil. 3: 20-21

Knot: Represents the end of life when everyone will be judged by God.  Heb. 9:27

A Belated Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year.  Of course, like most everyone else I stuffed myself silly.  Boy I made sure I hit the gym afterwards and just to let you know I workout on a regular basis.   Like every third day.

A friend of mine gave me a book for Christmas and I am not a big reader of books.   I do most of my reading online.  However, this book once I started reading it I finished it within a week.  The Book is “Mr. Jones, Meet The Master - Sermons and Prayers of Peter Marshall Chaplain of the US Senate from 1947-1948.  He has a unique writing style and the messages are very good.  So if you can find the book I suggest you pick it up and enjoy.  One of my favorite Christian authors is Brian McLaren.  I have several of his books and they are really good.  Check him out.

I didn’t really make any New Year’s resolutions since I can’t keep them anyway.  However, I have set some goals to find a part-time job and try and start another online company.

Enjoy the New Year and may God bless each and everyone of you more than last year.  This New Year try listening to Jesus more instead of doing all the talking.  :-)

Have a wonderful and joyous day.

Does this happen to you?

As I get older  it is interesting to find how I am reflecting on things more and more.  Sometimes in a totally different way than I did in the past.  I look how my outlook on life has changed almost as much as when I was baptized in the Holy Ghost a long time ago.  Funny it doesn’t seem that long ago.  Wow, how time flies by and you don’t even realize it.

Old memories just pop out of nowhere that I totally forgot about.  Some of course, I didn’t want to remember at all and would be happier if they would of been buried for good in my mind.  However, I think this is a way for God to help you reflect on some of the things you have done and repent, if you haven’t already. Maybe this is like a second chance to do so again just in case you might have forgotten too.

My mother said to me before she went home to be with the Lord, why she met with her pastor twice for prayer just to make sure her salvation took.  I have a feeling she is not the only one that has done or is doing that.  I told her, Mom, I know you believe in Jesus, accepted Him as your Savior, know He is the Son of God and He died on the cross for your sins.  Don’t worry about it.  You’re saved.  Funny how I end up repeating my own words sometimes when the devil throws doubts into my mind.   Of course, I expect that since the devil will not leave believers alone.  The devil will throw all sorts of things at you to try and cause doubt about your salvation, Jesus and God.

When this happens rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus the Christ and move on.

So, until next time God bless you all and keep the faith baby.  Love you all.

Do We Really Know?

When going to the library I sometimes notice one of the religious organizations sitting outside with their tracks and sign.  The sign says, “Do you really know what the Bible says?”   I kind of chuckle about it.  Here’s why.  Nobody really knows for one simple reason.  We do not have the original Bible.   People and groups say they know, but in actuality they just think they know.   All we have are copies upon copies upon copies.

The Bible in Jesus day was verbal.  Later someone had the bright idea that we should start writing some of these things down.  I really need to stop and wonder about something at this point.  When the scripture was passed on orally from person to person, I wonder if somewhere along the line someone may have misunderstood a word.  I have played the telephone game and the phrase spoken by the first person never comes out the same when the last person says it.

Secondly, it is a known fact the church has been messing around with the Scriptures for centuries.  Constantine did it and King James did it.  It is still going on today.  Look at how many different translations we have and how many of the same are being revised.

It is also known that the scribes did make mistakes.  Some were corrected and some were not.  In addition, some of the scribes changed the Scripture to fit their own personal beliefs or to be in line with the doctrine of their religious group.  Likewise, some of those were changed back and some were not.  Of course, there is the translation issue as well.

While I was doing research on this I began to realize something.  It is much easier to change something regarding social issues than it is anything else.

Bottom line is I rely on my faith and live by the 2 greatest commandments Jesus talked about to live by.  Love the Lord you God with all your heart, mind and soul.  The other, love your neighbor as yourself.  Of course, what if you don’t love yourself very much?  That is an entirely different topic to discussed by a professional doctor.   I feel by following those 2 commandments I think of myself as a spiritual believer and not a religious one.

Ok, that is it for now.   God bless you all.

Quote of the Month

"If you as parents cut corners, your children will too.  If you lie, they will too.  If you spend all your money on yourselves and tithe no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won’t either.  And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out.”

Marian Wright Edelman, American Children’s Rights Activist

I love this quote.  Parents need to take responsibility for their own actions and teach their kids not to hate.  This is how our children learn not accept those different from who they and their parents are.  Jesus said “To love your neighbor as you do yourself.”   Of course, let us not forget what else the Bible says, “ Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you."  So  the next time before you act think about these things. Then ask yourself would I like to be treated in the way I am about to treat this person?

So my friends until next time.  Have a wonderful and joyous day.  😍 God bless all of you.
